表面はヴィンテージスカジャンの中でも珍しい、鷲と虎が睨み合う1950年代中期の絵柄。Japanの文字が無いため、デフォルメしたそれぞれのモチーフを主役級の大きさで刺繍しているのが特徴。鷲の翼のグラデーションや虎の縞模様は、カラフルな色糸を駆使して緻密に描写。胸の龍は生地のグリーンを生かし、細いラインで繊細に表現されている。



リバーシブル面はスカジャンの王道として人気も高い、咆哮する虎の絵柄。振り幅の狭い横振り刺繍で筋骨隆々な虎の体躯を写実的に描写しており、これは優れた技術を持つ熟練の職人にしか成し得ない業である。ボディは身頃より袖下の色の方が濃い、通称「逆配色」。ピンク×ブラックの組み合わせはフィフティーズカルチャーにおいて絶大な評価を得ている。



ACETATE SOUVENIR JACKET


スーベニアジャケットのなかで最もスタンダードな両面にアセテート生地を使ったリバーシブルタイプ。戦後当時のスカジャンには、シルクに似た高級感を持つ物資統制外品目のアセテートが使われていた。中綿がないため季節を問わず着用でき、独特なドレープ感も魅力といえる。
The front side features a rare vintage sukajan design from the mid-1950s, depicting an eagle and a tiger locked in a fierce stare-down.
\u2028Without the typical “Japan” lettering, both motifs are embroidered in bold, oversized scale, giving them the presence of true protagonists.
\u2028The eagle’s wings are shaded in a beautiful gradient, while the tiger’s stripes are rendered with meticulous detail using vibrant, multicolored threads. The dragon on the chest is delicately expressed with fine lines, making use
of the fabric’s green base.
The reversible side showcases one of the most iconic sukajan designs: a roaring tiger. Its muscular body is portrayed with lifelike realism through tightly controlled side-stitch embroidery―a technique that only highly skilled craftsmen can achieve.
\u2028The body features the so-called “reverse color scheme,” where the sleeve panels are darker than the torso. The pink-and-black combination, in particular, holds a legendary status within 1950s culture.
ACETATE SOUVENIR JACKET
\u2028This is the most classic type of sukajan: a reversible jacket with acetate fabric on both sides.
\u2028In the postwar period, acetate―an off-ration material with a luxurious, silk-like luster―was widely used in souvenir jackets.
\u2028Lightweight and without padding, it can be worn comfortably throughout the year, with its distinctive drape adding to its unique appeal.
